I was born and raised with Star Trekhence why it is at the top of my list. I'm a child of nerds and am proud...VERY PROUD (hope some people get that reference) to say that at one point in my life, I could have quoted the Star Trek Encyclopedia. I think I still own a tape that had Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country on it followed by Lethal Weapon 3. Whether this means Captain Kirk or Captain Picard, Star Trek is pretty much in my blood.
My Dad has been shoving Sushi rolls down my throat since I was six months old and it was one of the best things he ever did for me. Sushi is my ultimate favorite food. It also happens to be my comfort food of choice and while that proves expensive, it's worth it every time.
Some of my favorite rolls are BBQ eel, Spicy Tuna. Dragon Rolls, Salmon Avocado and spider rolls. My all time favorite piece of sashimi (raw fish without any rice) is that White Tuna, also known as Maguro. After that I am a huge fan of Octopus, Tuna, Salmon, Eel, Yellowtail and Fatty Tuna.
I don't really know anyone who doesn't like Pizza. I grew up in New York City so along with Sushi, Pizza is my other comfort food. Growing up in Queens there was this great place on Austin Street and the name totally passes me by now but every time I went in, I ordered the same thing; two slices of mushroom and a lemon Snapple.
There are also a lot of great places by my dads on Long Island like Little Vincents and Rosa's in Huntington.
I pretty much can never get enough of this show, even after it has been cancelled. When I'm in a bad mood or I don't know what else to watch, SG-1 is my goto show. More so than even Star Trek, I love this cast of Characters that gave me ten wonderful seasons of entertainment.
I don't just watch Stargate, I do cosplay with it as well. Currently, I have my own Urban Camo version of an SG1 off-world uniform as well as Col. Sheppard's Black BDU outfit from Stargate Atlantis which is a perfect segway into my next favorite thing.

I owe a lot to Stargate Atlantis. Besides Battlestar Galactica, Atlantis is one of the main my fiance and I bonded together on. Along with SG-1, Atlantishad a cast of characters that you couldn't help but love. Whether is was Sheppard and Rodney bickering or Ronon shooting first and asking questions later, this was a wonderful show to watch and it was truly a damn shame that it was canceled. Here's hoping that SGUrocks!

When I first moved to Philly seven years ago, I decided a needed to follow at least one Philadelphia Sports team. I don't watch Hockey so it couldn't be the Flyers, NBA had become more show than sport so I couldn't become a Sixers fan so that left the Eagles and the Phillies. There was no way that I was giving up being a depressed Jets fan and I was never quite attached to the Yankees so I converted to the Fightin Phils!
It wasn't all good during some of those years, but last year we got the pennant phinally (yes I intentionally spelled finally with a PH)! Here's hoping that tonight's Wolrd Series game is a stepping stone to a RePeat!
As you have probably figured out by now, I'm a huge nerd. On top of Stargate and Star Trek, I'm a huge Star Wars fan! The only problem with Star Wars is that not a lot happens with it when movies aren't coming out.
However, Star Wars remains a classic in American Cinema no matter what!
While, it's pretty depressing sometimes being a Jets fan, it can also be a lot of fun. Jets fans are very blue collar and true to the game. We have no reason to talk smack about other teams...expect for may the New England Patriots *cough*
This year it has been pretty interesting to watch as the Jets have a rookie QB named Mark Sanchez taking the snaps for us.
Hi, my name is Julian Brown. I currently write for The Brotherly Game, a local Philadelphia soccer website where I cover the US Women's National Team and the local WPS Philadelphia Independence. I … more
