I just made some Mashes Potatoes last night and I can't wait to have my dads come Turkey Day. Some people may not like this, but he likes to leave large chunks of garlic in his...mmmmmm
This is pretty much one of the most amazing things you can have on Thanksgiving if it's done right. My step mom makes one of the best Pumpkin soups ever!
Not your average Thanksgiving food, but a pre cursor in out household to the big feast. My step mom's sister always brings a HUGE plate of jumbo shrimp and her homemade cocktail sauce! It's usually my step brother and I who devour this plate, almost like a contest :)
Usually my dad gets a giant free range 100% organic turkey. I think this year we're actually getting one directly from a farm...interesting. Either way, he makes a pretty mean turkey!
This was my addition to the table last year. I made Coca Cola Glazed Carrots and everybody seemed to love them. I wasn't planning on making them again this year, but it sounds like my step sister really wants me too!
Nuff said... My dad makes his Pumpkin Pie with Stevia (sugar substitute) and while some people may not like stevia, I think it makes a mean Pumpkin Pie!
Every Thanksgiving meal needs a couple of good Red Wines paired with it. This is usually my brothers job, but I will be bringing a wine this year as well. A Xumek 2007 Malbec. This is actually a really nice malbec that I urge anyone to try :)
I love how my three favorite veggie dishes are at the top of your list! And I'm going to have to try making that coca cola carrot :) Thanks for sharing!

I could honestly eat jut those dishes for T-Day and be happy :)
It's really easy! Just boil some carrots enough to just un-harden them, then put them in a frying pan, add some coke and let the coke turn into a glaze. If the coke doesn't turn into a glaze before the carrots are done, add some corn starch :) Sorry, and a little ginger zest as well!
