I have to be honest, if there is one thing that I truly hate in this world .. it is talking about myself. So this will probably be short, sweet, and boring as hell.
What to say ... What to say ...
I'm a 30-something, married, father of one, from Northeastern, PA. There .. all the important stats are out of the way in one grammatically horrendous sentence.
Other than that, I guess I fit the stereotype of overweight people being jolly. Maybe I should put in my resume for Santa Claus.
As far as things I enjoy -
I like all types of movies - from suspense to comedies .. action to animated .. just please don't make me read a movie. I despise subtitles :)
When it comes to music, I am even more open minded. If it has a story, a melody, and I can understand what the singer is actually saying .. chances are I will be giving it a shot.
Reading is where I get picky, as I enjoy things that are fast paced and get the brain cells firing on all cylinders. So I usually find myself leaning towards a good suspense or crime novel.
And as though you can't tell .. I also love food. I'm an adventurous eater and am willing to try anything once. Partially to develop my own opinion and partially so I have a story to tell.
As far as guilty pleasures go ..
Professional Wrestling. It's something that has been a part of my life since I was knee high to a grasshopper. I think if I did some research on addictions, it might actually prove to be one for me. But unlike so many wrestling fans, I am not the loud, obnoxious, closed minded, and in your face jackass. I actually enjoy it for the story aspect, character development, and at times unpredictability of it. I enjoy various promotions around the US from WWE and TNA to Chikara, Dragon Gate USA, PWG, Ring of Honor, etc. Some people consider themselves a connoisseur of fine wines. I'm a connoisseur of men in tig- nevermind.
And last but not least, Reality TV. I think I like it because of the irony of the name. You put a camera on somebody and they have a tenancy to become a larger than life caricature of themselves. They feel that they have to put on a show for the whole world .. and it entertains me. So what :) While I am a huge fan of the strategy involved, I am also a fan of seeing people make total asses off themselves. Does that make me a bad person?
In closing (My speech teachers told me avoid using that phrase like the plague) I really think I could dig this place. It seems like it's a community designed to talk about what we enjoy in life - as opposed to posting pictures of fish in a tank mating. So hit me up .. we'll talk.
PS: I am also a huge fan of ellipsis ( ... ) not sure why.
