Greatest MCs In My Humble Opinion(no particular order)

Notorious BIG
Wordplay that was unforgiving and smooth as butter. BIG flowed through songs as if nothing could stop him and the beat was his personal play toy.
2
2-Pac
Tupac, where do I even start. A genius poet transformed into a rapper is how I view him. Quickly jumping on both sides of the fence to enlighten and shock us into becoming a better people and community. If he and BIG had lived to mature fully, the direction of the rap game would surely be different.
3
Jay-Z
Smooth. Gritty. Charismatic. Jay-Z will go down as one of the highest ranking in the rap pantheon. While sometimes I feel that he is overrated, one of his own lines sums it all up," Men lie, women lie, numbers don't."
4
Nas
Nas
Storyteller. Lyrically, Nas is one of the best to ever do it. I think Illmatic set a bar that was so high it was hard for him to ever live up to what people expected.

5
Eminem
When Eminem decides he wants to rap, he's a force. I would hate have him featured on my song, because the act he displays can be a very tough one to follow. Ask Jay-Z and Lil Wayne.
6
Rakim
Any questions? One song is all you need to hear to answer them, Paid in Full.
7
Andre 3000
The single most underrated lyricist of all time. He and Big Boi are consistently left out of the topic for best MC's of the south, not to mention best group. Andre has energy out of this world with relevant topics. It sometimes takes a few listens to fully digest everything he has said. Consistently amazing and unforgettable, without a doubt one of the top 10 MC's of all time.
8
GZA
GZA
Liquid Swords. Yes!
9
Mos Def
Very musically gifted. Melodic, entertaining and insightful. He is always one step ahead of the game.
10
Canibus
He was one of the last hopes for real wordplay, before the LL Cool J beef. Canibus flows , often with the use of alliteration, that MAKES you pay attention. If any young person wants to know how to flow using a vast vocabulary, Canibus is definitely one of the people you should listen to and try to mimic
