From a Yankees fan: Not really. It's very odd these days, but the Steinbrenner junta still hasn't figured out that you can't build a baseball team strictly on the long ball. It's the pitching, stupid! The Yankees don't have any not named CC Sabathia or Mariano Rivera. Honestly, I'm surprised they even won the division. Thank god the Red Sox choked!

Not really surprised with the Yankees, not surprised at all with the Rays. The Yankees really were inconsistent for awhile even though they had a damn good record. They definitley need to make some changes. I really hope to see a Rangers/Brewers WS. I like when teams who have never won get a chance to win. And the Yankees have quite a few championships in the Derek Jeter era.

The early exit of the Yankees did surprise me a bit. However, once again the vaunted A-Rod made the last out. In this year of the incredible collapse, no surprise should be a great one.

Not really. I have not been following the AL teams very closely, being more of a National League fan. The Brewers have been strong all season and just might surprise.

Yes, those were the days of Harmon Killebrew, Bob Allison, Tony Oliva, Mudcat Grant and Jim Kaat.
