I noticed that Justin Verlander won the MVP. I can't understand the writers that vote these awards as last year they said wins don't matter. In my opinion Miguel Cabrera was the most valuable player on Detroit and definately their most feared player throughout the playoff. I felt that Miguel Bautista, Jacoby Ellsbury and Robinson Cano were also more valuable than Verlander and should have won the award. What is your opinion?

Let's be realistic, the MVP is now and has always been driven by politics and perception. The player that was truly the most valuable rarely wins the award. Unless they were incredibly awesome (Bob Gibson in 1968), I don't believe that pitchers should win the MVP.
