Very, very, tough one for me. Normally it's anyone that goes the full distance with Texas vs. St. Louis being a very good one. I was really going for Texas.

My vote is for the 1991 series between the Minnesota Twins and Atlanta Braves. Both had finished last in their division the year before and the game not only went seven but it was tied 0-0 after nine and was won in the tenth after several scoring chances were blown, including one of the best fakes ever performed on the diamond.

I've only been watching baseball for the last decade, and the last World Series was a true classic. But I have a dark horse candidate between the Los Angeles Angels and San Francisco Giants in 2002, with the high scoring, Barry Bonds's performance of his lifetime (even though he made the error which ultimately cost the Giants), and the incredible game six comeback which kept the Angels in the Series.

Another favorite was the Chicago White Sox/Houston Astros Series from 2005. We put so much emphasis on whether or not the Series goes the distance that a lot of other just fly under the radar, and this was one of them. Game three, that 15-inning marathon, the suspense filled fourth game where the White Sox clinched the title 1-0, that whole Series was a real nail-biter. Yes, the White Sox won in a sweep, but all of those games could easily have gone the other way, and to me, that makes an exciting series.
