Most students hate the registrar at their schools. Whether they don't get their transcripts sent out on time or they are on hold for hours just to talk to one person, the registrar's office often does not have a good reputation. I have had this experience at 2 of the former colleges I went to. At San Francisco State University I could never get a hold of a single person over the phone. When I did go into the office it was either closed or the lady was extremely rude to me. And of course my requests for transcripts and a major change never went through quicker than a month. The same sort of thing was at Marymount College. The women that worked at the registrar's office wouldn't even look up at you unless you said something and then they would tell you to wait... for an hour. They would randomly decide to close the office for no reason and you couldn't even attempt to get a hold of anyone over the summer.
LMU's registrar though is completely the opposite. Whenever I have a question someone always picks up the phone and someone always has a prompt answer. They always know what they are talking about and I have a strong feeling they are open 24/7. The people that work there are always super friendly and go out of their way to help you with anything you need. One time I was supposed to deliver a document to some other office and I ended up at the registrar's office. Even though I was in the completely wrong place the girl at the desk said it was ok and that she would make sure my paperwork got to where it needed to go.
I do not have one single complaint about the registrar at LMU. The workers are friendly whether it is in person or over the phone and they always know what they are doing. I never get someone who has to transfer me a million times just to find out when school starts and I certainly am not invisible when I walk in the office.
