When I went to SFSU I never knew what I was doing when it came to registering for classes. Which is probably the reason I took a whole year of pointless classes that only count as electives, or even worse didn't even transfer to LMU. I never had a counselor and if I did no one ever told me about it. I didn't even know we were supposed to consult a counselor before signing up for classes. Now, I know that there are thousands of stories out there surrounding dealings with the Office of the Registrar and that every student has an impassioned perspective on the methods of getting into classes, but let me offer one specific experience that has proven to be a reliable and stable constant throughout my career as a registering student.
