LMU Club Soccer - Athletics Without The Stress & With The Booze

LMU Club Soccer is the answer to achieving college balance.

Sure the real athletes get the first pick for classes, teacher preferences, things like "scholarships" and *kewl* gear but, ya know what they don't get? Drunk.

Thats right. Club sports in general at LMU are the just-serious-enough athletic teams that you can manage to still contribute to despite intoxication and exhaustion that is usually involved with the lives of college students.

If anything Club Soccer is more challanging than those NCAA snobs because they don't have to deal with playing hungover or throwing up during halftime. It adds, at least, 10 more difficulty points to an achieving victory and netting home a few goals (or even managing to complete passes for that matter).

Best of all, if you manage to make a club soccer team (yes, both the men and womens have tryouts) you have a built in partying crew that are garunteed to get you sauced up without any of the greek B.S. that comes with the frats/sororities.

LMU Club Sports have a chance to ask ASLMU for scrilla to fund their crazy ventures, in the U.S. and abroad. LMU Club Soccer has, in the past, made it to the semi-finals of the national college club sports championships in Austin. The only thing that prevented the squad from getting their mitts on the trophy was the torrential rain and lightening that caused the remainer of the tournament to be called off.

Levels of dedication vary in terms of numbers at practice and off-season tournaments, but you better believe a competative spirit is always there, even if its masked beneath a few party scars.

So if you get to college and you want to do it all, play sports, work, party, etc. club soccer is the best way to achieve that balance.

Plus you get to laugh at all the Greeks who get the party without the sports and all the athletes who get the sports without the party.
