To end the stressful school year and finals week, me and a good friend decided to take our mom's to C & O's Trattoria on Washington Blvd for a girls night out. My mom and I had never been before, but my friend and her mom had, and insisted it was the best place in town. Though it was extremely built up for us, the restaurant offered nothing short of a great time.
It was a Friday night and it was extremely crowded with loads of people waiting outside the restaurant for a table. We put our name in expecting it to be at least an hour wait however our name was called after only 15 minutes. While we were waiting a worker came out with a huge tray of garlic bread balls for those that were ravenous waiting for a table. These garlic bread balls are by far the most amazing invention on earth. With a perfect crispy outside and softy inside, the bread was bursting with amazing herb and garlic flavor. Once we were seated a server came around with more bread balls and refilled the plate every time it ran low. We cracked open a bottle of wine and enjoyed the bustling and upbeat atmosphere.
In the middle of our meal music started blasting and all of the waiters came around with glasses of wine to toast everyone that was there as the entire restaurant sang "That's Amore!" at the top of their lungs. And in case someone didn't know the words they even handed out little sheets with the lyrics on them so everyone could join in the fun. Many times a fun place like this has a great atmosphere but lacks in the culinary part, however the food here was amazing as well. The pasta was perfectly cooked and the sauces on all the food was perfectly spiced.
I definitely plan to return to C & O's and recommend it to anyone and everyone that lives in the area!
