Thanks to Scotman I saw this film. Lola with the blazing red hair gets a desperate call from her boyfriend Mani. Apparently, his 100,000 German Marks (before the Euro) that was due to a very mean person was lost on a train and picked up by a homeless man. Winner of the 1999 Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival, Lola is fast (pun intended), action packed and musically moving movie, about a girl whose boyfriend is mixed with the mob and he's lost their money. She has 20 minutes to solve this problem or else Manni will be feeding fishes in the Rhine!
Great seeing this fast-paced German film again. Man, Lola has stamina! Three alternate realities all based on a few seconds' difference can make all the changes in the world. If the light were green rather than red, would your life turn out different?
