Being a fan of the anime series and the anime film, I do hope that this live-action movie delivers. All I hope is for its quality to be on par with Azumi and I will be happy. Hopefully an English subtitled movie comes out soon....

I think I saw a bootleg copy of that available on (US) Amazon the other day, and I was thinking about ordering it ... but -- as is often my problem -- I'm utterly unfamiliar with the source material. You think I'd dig it? You & I are usually pretty solid when it comes to flick referrals. The preview looks interesting.

to tell you the truth there are only a few anime/manga to live action adaptations I have dug: Death Note, Azumi, Shinobi Heart Under Blade and Crying Freeman. The rest have been less than impressive. Rurouni Kenshin is a good anime series and the the anime movie's can be streamed in netflix (try SAMURAI X: Trust and Betrayal since it will give you a good handle on it and I reviewed it)

Well, in three -four days or so (the official import that I ordered from Korea is due to arrive) I can probably let you know with a review.I decided to take the risk but not with a bootleg.

Alright. I think I'll wait 'til I see your review. I trust your opinion, certainly much more than what I would a bootleg release. Lemmeknow whatchaknow whenyaknow.

Based on the manga by Nobuhiro Watsuki, the film follows the adventures of a young man named Kenshin Himura during the Meiji period. Watsuki discovered  and was inspired by the story of Kawakami Gensai who was a …
