posted a Quick Tip about CNN. November 11, 2012
posted in WHAT CAN I SAY?
The CNN News Logo
First of all, I'd like to say that I don't really like any of the American news outlets, since practically all of them slant one way or another and present the news the way they want you to see it or read it instead of just showing it as it is.  Regardless if a news outlet slants to the left or right (politically speaking) the fact that they slant in any direction is what annoys …

Raffles Hotel
Where celebrities & visiting head of states usually put up. Not my cup of tea but it's a historical hotel. Monroe & Jackson were once visitors and today, it has the UK royalties as its guests of honor!
posted a Quick Tip about Banyan Tree Bangkok. September 08, 2012
Banyan Tree Bangkok
It would have been in negative territory if not saved by a few of its friendly and hospitable staff!   The hotel is in subpar standard and not well kept. Unfortunately, Banyan Tree precedes its own reputation in the past and that has created a letdown experience.      Too many frustrations during check-in and leave a bitter aftertaste. Other than that, there are something …

Aman Resorts
My wife and I wanted to reserve at the new Aman Zoe resort in Greece this summer with our 2 baby children (under 3yrs old). The daily charge was approx EUR 800 - 900/day and we were ok with that. However the resort wanted to charge us an additional EUR 100/day for the child.   We tried to figure out what additional services will be provided for that additional service charge, but other …

breakfast
It's the most important meal of the day, don't ya know! Just make sure there's lots of health food involved so you won't feel so hungry later on. Cereal and fruit makes a fine breakfast meal. But no matter what, no breakfast is complete without coffee!

Terranea Resort
This has to be one of the best local treasures we've discovered in ages.  My husband and I wound up here after a mishap with our original plans for a weekend getaway to celebrate our wedding anniversary.  Turned out to be the best thing that could've happened!      Terranea offers the best unobstructed views I've seen from anywhere in or around …

Most interesting for travelers. Lots of new places to check out and I like the layout of this magazine with its wonderful photography.

The Palazzo Las Vegas
I didn't stay at this hotel but did spent some time in its lobby as well as the theater where I was given a ticket to see the Blue Man Group here. Palazzo is exclusive and less touristy than Venetian and caters more to the high end customers.

Without CNN in my room while on the road, I'm like a plane without its wings! Best way to keep in touch with what's going on everywhere! CNN is something I look forward to in my hotel rooms!
posted a Quick Tip about Ritz Carlton Hong Kong. April 17, 2011
Ritz Carlton Hong Kong
The Ritz Carlton Hong Kong is now the highest hotel in the world! Sitting 488m atop the ICC (tallest building in Hong Kong) in Kowloon (where the Elements is), Ritz Carlton is now the most convenient luxury hotel in Hong Kong where the airport express will take its guests from the airport directly to Kowloon station (which is at the basement of ICC which the hotel resides with other big corporations …
posted a Quick Tip about The Venetian, Macao. April 04, 2011
The Venetian, Macao
The first casino hotel I stayed in Macao. Huge suite with helpful concierge. However the hotel is so big (3000 suites in total with an area of 10.5 million sq feet & touted as the largest hotel in Asia; 5th largest building in the world) that one tend to get disorientated when first arrived. Otherwise, it has Zaia (Cirque du Soleil) for entertainment, hundreds of shops and restaurants for guests' …
posted a Quick Tip about Grand Hyatt Macau Hotel (Cotai). April 03, 2011
Grand Hyatt Macau Hotel (Cotai)
Stayed here again some 2 weeks ago. Check-in is darn slow and truly tested my patience. We booked through the phone about half an hour before arrival for a spa package (with rooms included, MOP 2500++) and yet the reception couldn't find the reservation! Concierge, Randy, was great and helpful. Room was spacious and nice as with the Spa services. However, TV and broadband were not working well and …
posted a Quick Tip about Four Seasons Hotel Macau. April 03, 2011
Four Seasons Hotel
Opulent, elegant and massive, Four Seasons Hotel in Macao is one of the most luxurious accommodation in the world's capital of the gaming industry. Like any Four Seasons in the world, FS Macao embodies the finest of living and entertainment. It boasts some 360 guest rooms (over 80 of which are suites) and 5 swimming pools (which I happened to like very much, though I didn't swim when I was …

The Bellagio
Although I've been to Las Vegas at least a dozen times, this was my first stay at The Bellagio and I loved everything about it! My room was quiet, comfortable and tastefully decorated with twice daily maid service that included complimentary chocolates as part of the turn down service. The bed and the bathtub were both fantastic! After a long day of shopping, I decided to pop up to my room and …

Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit
Centrally located and hosted the best Thai restaurant (according to some magazine) as well as Spa and fitness center in the Sukhumvit area. I love the Grande Spa here although I stayed at Westin which is across the street (and has its own spa which I'd review later). This particular Sheraton is one of the Luxury Collections stable of hotels. It's not cheap but it's worth the price, according to most …

Westin Grande Sukhumvit Bangkok
A reasonably old hotel across from Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit which is more luxurious and has better choices of facilities. Westin has friendly staff but the hotel makes you pay for almost everything, ie. breakfast and internet access!

Good location and services. Breakfast is excellent. Room is a tad small and twin beds are exceptionally small for a 5* hotel!!! Hyper expensive too!

Grand Hyatt Regency Kauai
Location      The Hyatt is located on the south shore of Kauai. This side of the island is known for sunny weather and warm temperatures, a summer calm summer swell and a large population of Hawaiian Monk Seals.       The Hyatt is the at the end of the road, the last property in the stretch of development on the south shore . This makes for a …

Lai Heen
Great food, impeccable service, but... most expensive Chinese restaurant I've come across in China! The Fried Rice with chopped beef & ginger sauce is surprisingly good. Be warned that you'd spend at least double what you'd pay at other restaurants of similar category! Oh, I had dinner here and not lunch.

Sands Macao Hotel
Large suite with 3 TVs and in room spa services. Great view as well as friendly services. Better value than Grand Hyatt. Rooms are very similar to Venetian's layout since it is also part of the group.
