Superb food, good ambience. Wine list could use improvement, but I love that Petros puts wines from Greece (and his particular island) on the menu. Adds a down home feel to an otherwise, upscale restaurant. There's a lot of great items on this menu, which is littered with unique choices (i.e, the Karpouzi salad with waternmelon, heirloom tomatoes, feta, honey and mint... delicious to share), but for lunch, its hard for me to stay away from the Horiatiki (House) Salad with Chicken - one of the more unique and delicious salads anywhere. For dinner, their signature item is the feta crusted lamb and, good lord it's delicious. My wife swears by the Spanikorizo (spinach risotto with prawns). If you're looking for something lighter, the aforementioned salad, swordfish and chicken are all great. They also have tasty pizza's. I'm salivating right now. This restaurant is Petros' first foray into the restaurant business. He's clearly has his act together, because he's nailed this place. When you see how many restaurants just don't get it, its refreshing to see a newcomer do such a great job.

Unique and delicious breakfast, lunch and (now) dinner. My favorite breakfast and lunch spot, maybe, anywhere. Quality ingredients and unique offerings make this joint a homerun. More later.
Glamorous, hip setting. Great sushi. Chef learned under Morimoto, who apparently is the greatest iron chef of all time (I'm not sure what this means). They have a sake sommelier, for chrissakes. If you want to look at beautiful people, eat some delicious sushi, and/or have a cocktail, this is a great spot. Not cheap, but its worth it.

The classic local restaurant in Manhattan Beach. Solid, high quality food. There's a wide variety of fish options, great steaks, as well as a quality wine list that's very reasonably priced (you can find wine here for 30% less than at some other establishments in town). The atmosphere has a casualness that is very appropriate for a beach town like Manhattan. Its not uncommon to find people dressed up for a night on the town in the bar next to guys in board shorts and flip-flops, who rolled in from a day of volleyball to have some Navy Grogs (for the uninitiated, the Navy Grog is Rock N' Fish's signature drink... its filled with rum, pineapple juice, and other ingredients. Its a distant cousin of the Lapu Lapu [review to come] and, similar to a Lapu Lapu, has been known to cause bouts of delerium and nude-running on the beach). Overall, great atmosphere with consistently, tasty food.

Good, basic red-sauce Italian. A no frills place that is great for families. The Chicken Chris (Eggplant and Chicken Parm combo is where you want to be).

Houstons is a great resturant. It just sucks that they dont offer any takeout(especially during lunch hour being across the street from lots of companies)
