The Five Most Missed Cartoons From My Childhood.

Being a little older than Ulalume, I go back to the days where I only had 7 tv channels and most of the cartoons were constantly repeated.
The all-time funniest cartoon I ever saw, especially the old Max Fleischer black and white ones with Bluto Olive, Sweetpea and the Jeep.
Speed Racer (TV show)
I used to watch this cartoon everyday. I thought the Mach Five was the coolest car. Racer X was a mysterious guy.
Rocky & Bullwinkle
Upsidaisium and Hey Rocky watch me pull a rabbit out my hat. With Boris Bad Enough and Natasha. In times of the communist scare it was great.
Marvel Super Heroes (TV Show)
The cheapest made cartoons of all-time where they just took comic cells and made the characters' mouths move. I used to crack up especially in Thor where they would show three different images of Odin in the same sequence drawn by three different artist. Had those great theme songs though.
See the full review, "Poor Animation But Great Tales and a Whole Lot of Fun!".
The Flintstones
The animated version of the Honeymooners. Had all those memorable episodes and who can forget Kazu?

What did you think of this list?

Don't forget classic Looney Tunes! Every now and then, they do a marathon and I have to squeeze in some viewing. You've got five of my personal favs here though. I'd probably have to do ten... Transformers, Felix the Cat, the Jetsons, and George of the Jungle! ~sigh, they just don't make 'em like those anymore! I miss my Saturday morning cartoon fest! Great list, loads of memories :o) wishing you laughter

I think I had a few more channels than you growing up, but I still watched 4/5 of these! The only one that I didn't watch was Speed Racer, which I actually didn't know about until I reach your review on the Mach 5. Love this list, Michael. It's making me feel all nostalgic! :P

Nice! I've seen all of these shows, aside from Marvel Super Heroes, at least once, but they weren't regulars of mine because, like you said, they were before my time. The Marvel cartoon sounds entertaining, and would probably be hilarious when watched and compared with the effects used in some of today's animated shows.

They had great stories as they were from the classic comics themselves. The animation was so bad that to make a guy run they would pull a static image of him across the screen (i.e. his legs and arms wouldn't move).

As a kid, I was a die-hard Nickelodeon fan, though there were a few shows on other channels that I used to enjoy as well. These five shows were either …
