Cooper does a masterful job in a real feel good movie with Babe Ruth and Bill Dickey playing themselves. Who can forget the crippled kid who he hits 2 homeruns for and the same kid meets him years later at the stadium when he is about to make his retirement speech (the luckiest man on the face of the Earth).

i haven't seen it in forever, but how about bang the drum slowly? or anything for those beloved bad news bears? when i was a kid, i could recite the entire bad news bears in breaking training movie! fun list idea, thx!

I haven't seen either so they didn't make my list.
NIce, but you're missing one of the best--EIGHT MEN OUT by John Sayles. It's about the infamous "Chicago Black Sox". Definitely worth seeing if you haven't had the opportunity.

It did show a lot when the Sox were in contention for the series a couple of years ago, but normally it doesn't get much air time. Too bad because it's a really great film with wonderful performances.
