About this Community
The Movie Hype is a community that deals with movies. At first impression, this community may indeed feel like it is only a place for Oscar winners, new releases and mainstream movies. While this is partly true, the goal of the 'Movie HYPE' community is to establish a place where movie lovers can share, discuss and learn from each other. It is our different tastes and how they are unique from one another may prove to be the one factor that can help another understand and appreciate a film better.
I encourage reviews of all films of different genre. Things that make you wonder why pro critics hate, yet you enjoyed every minute of it. Movies that the critics loved but you were bored to death with them. The MOVIE HYPE community is about people and exactly how our tastes in movies make us unique. It is not just 'Hype" but how we also hype obscure cinema.
I encourage each and everyone to leave comments and give the writers of the review kudos so that our community will have a nurturing atmosphere. We want to hear your opinion on a movie...whether you liked the movie or not!

Movie Hype community guidelines:
1) Plagiarism is not allowed. The Lunch.com network doesn’t allow it, (see terms of service) and we do not allow it. You may copy “quotes”, phrases, and such from other writings to express a point, as long as you credit the writer or the source. This also applies to lists within the community. Movie Hype is not responsible for any works with areas of plagiarism that may have gone unnoticed, but will act on it once said incident has been reported.
3) Do not discredit another review directly. As a follow up to # 2, do not use or put down another’s review to prove your point and/or use it to make your own review more credible. Examples would be when one says under their review : "(Blank) says this (so and so) and he is wrong, and this is why he is wrong...". The beauty of this community is the freedom of reviewing, whether one's opinion is different from your own. There are exceptions, as long as two parties both agree to engage in such a manner. Then moderators and/or the community founder need to be notified that it is a joint collaboration.
5) Do not pester anyone to move reviews from one community to another. The lunch staff headed up by the community managers @devora and @djevoke, community brand ambassadors (they have golden yellow badges in their profiles) and the Movie Hype community founder/moderators are the ones responsible for asking the writer for such review re-locations. Invites to our community must also be handled well.
Pestering people to join, move reviews, and/or any such actions may be perceived as unwanted behavior. Any such actions will cause you to be banned from Movie Hype and will be reported directly to the Lunch.com staff.

6) Try to Avoid “community-hopping”. These are your reviews but lunch does have shared content so community hopping is not necessary. Community hopping is when you move your own reviews from one community to the other in the span of a week to gain more readership. All reviews are linked by tags so your review will be shared by communities with this movie tag. This isn’t an action that needs strong addressing, but it is occasionally frowned upon and may cause you to get a little alienated in the future from the site membership.
