Crowe plays a real life whistle blower who ratted on the tobacco industry on 60 Minutes. But they almost left him out to dry by not airing the segment.

Crowe plays a reformed bad guy turned preacher who stands up to Gene Hackman in this Sharon Stone vehicle. It's sort of Sam Raimi's version of a spaghetti western and Crowe is the best thing in it.

Russell Crowe in a romantic comedy about a man who inherits a French vinyard? I'll buy it.

This flick in which Crowe plays Neo-Nazi skinhead at violent odds with the Vietnamese community is the one that brought him to the attention of Hollywood.

I've only seen 5 and 6 of this list. I visited San Diego and got to see the set for Master & Commander. They had video clips of the movie playing too. I was like "wow, Russell Crowe stood here!" It was cool. I'll need to watch more.

Sounds good. Wasn't The Gladiator a Crowe film? That was the first DVD I ever played on a DVD player. :)

Yep. I just didn't like it that much. He was good in it, but even he couldn't save it for me. I might own a copy though. I'm not sure.

He was great in at, as was the rest of the cast. I don't know where my brain was when I made up the list.
