Another list of movies that can make me laugh since I did forget some before. Here they come in NO PARICULAR ORDER! Should have an echo effect like "IN SPACE!!"
Midnight Run (film)
Perhaps the best damn mainstream piece of entertainment ever with Robert DeNiro as a washed up cop going after a fussy bail jumper wanted by the mob. DeNiro and Grodin has some good chemsitry and has a great supporting cast. Good action, pacing, laughs and even a little drama.
Artie Lange's Beer League
Slob sports comedies of the 80's aren't as in vogue now and it's about time a new one got made and this one hits some real notes of humor and makes sure no stone is unturned in getting under anyones skin with equal glee. It's a true piece of opening all the doors for all avenues of humor. Don't take it too seriously and enjoy the disgusting hijinks
See the full review, ""Okay lets go over the ground rules, you can't leave first until you chug a beer."".
Happy Gilmore
Adam Sandler made plenty of other movies after this but his sophmore major starring lead vehicle ironed out some bugs from Billy Madison and getting more laughs with Adam going beserk on the golf greens in an attempt to earn money for his Grandmother. DVD release has deleted scenes, including one that I wish they kept in.
Terrific send up of Star Wars, its merchandizing and it's characters by Mel Brooks. Rick Moranis even in his diminutive costume is actually more scary then Darth Vader is now.
Delta Farce
Larry the Cable Guy's second movie has a pretty ludicrous premise that somehow works and a supporting cast that isn't as strong as his first film but does have some solid lines from Larry and his crew in it's run time and the movie does have Danny Trejo as the villainous Carlos Santana. Yes that is a funny joke.
See the full review, "Road to Mexico".
Observe and Report (2009)
My first movie with Seth Rogen and he proved to me he is funny and for the second mall cop comedy of 2009, even though this movie only gets a few laugh out loud moments, it was far funnier then Paul Blart and didn't cop out on it's premise or make the lead a complete sad sack either.
The Ref (film)
While the premise runs out of steam about 20 minutes towards the end, the remainder of the film has Denis Leary taking Kevin Spacy and Judy Davis hostage in a ritzy neighborhood on Christmas Eve and is ready to shoot the both of them when they can't stop arguing. Leary was at his peak angry 90's mode here.
Hot Shots: Part Deux
Why this movie isn't as popular as the first is beyond me but this movie packs in plenty of laughs for me and keeps going and going and going and there isn't a weak second of it.
The Simpsons Movie
The show jumped the shark a decade and a half ago but that doesn't mean that the movie is bad, in fact it's as good as one of those old episodes and is certainly as funny as one. Homer contaminates Lake Springfield and makes him and his family the town pariah. Even the softer, sappier parts even feel culled from second season and it actually adds to the movie.
See the full review, "TV as it was meant to be seen, in a movie theater! Not to mention how much more entertaining it is.".
The Big Lebowski
Not as funny as it could have been but the odd characters more then make up for it in the Coen brother's take on Raymond Chandler stories about odd goings on with a plot thats an afterthought. Jeff Bridges rules as "The Dude" and the dude abides.

I don't think I've seen Midnight Run - I'll have to rent this one cause I love DeNiro!

I hope I start some kind of re-interest in that movie.

I need to do some catching up with # 9 and I am happy that #1 made this list! I was really into # 5 though, I guess I'll have to rewatch. Thanks!

No one talks about Midnight Run anymore. Good to know I'm not alone in liking Delta Farce.
