I own a lot of fitness DVDs, but my favorite way to exercise is through cardio dance. This is a list of my favorite dance workouts that are fun, cardio, and effective; and they are in no particular order. Most of them are for intermediate excercisers and higher, but some I'd recommend to beginners, as well. This is a great workout that mixes Latin dance moves from dances such as the Samba, Cha-Cha, and Merengue into fun, easy combos. Great for beginner (with some dance background) and intermediate dancers/exercisers!

High cardio and complex jazz funk choreography is taught at a rather fast paced in this really fun workout DVD. Good for intermediate/advanced exercisers/dancers.

Afro-Latino is a style you don't see much in workouts, but this DVD has it, and it is SO much fun. MaDonna Grimes leads a dance routine that is full of fun African and Latin moves. It is a little short, coming in at only about a 15 minute workout, but it is very fun to do. Great for beginner (with some dance background) and intermediate dancers/exercisers.

This DVD is full of complex choreography taught very, very quickly. However, it is so much fun. . .if you can get the routine down. Patrick Goudeau leads with an infectious energy that makes the routine impossible not to have fun with. I would only recommend this DVD to advanced exercisers/dancers.

Each of the 5 10 minute sections on this DVD is divided into two 5 minute quick cardio hip hop routines. They are a ton of fun, and the fact that you are quickly changing routines means that you won't get bored. Great for intermediate/advanced dancers/exercisers.

After completing 3 high-energy dance routines you will do 2 slower-paced toning workouts. This DVD is great for bring both cardio and toning into one workout. Comes complete with 2 toning bands, and it is perfect for intermediate/advanced exercisers/dancers.
Hip-Hop, Contemporary, and Disco routines are all broken down and taught to you step by step by some of the dancers from the hit reality TV show "So You Think You Can Dance." The routines are fun, cardio, and perfect for any level of dancers/exercisers. If you're a beginner, run the break down over and over, but if you're advanced, go straight to the full routine. Either way you'll get a great workout!
