The Joker, Rooster Cogburn, Marge Gunderson, Captain Kirk and Tony Stark
The Tobey McGuire Spiderman, John McClane (Die Hard), Dirty Harry, Woody (Toy Story), Will Hunting (Good Will Hunting) are the first 5 I can think of. I'm sure if you ask me tomorrow I would come up with 5 different ones.
Darth Vader, Anakin Skywalker, Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Indiana Jones

These are not in ranked order, just the order they fell out of my head: 1. Tyler Durden (It's helpful that both Mr Pitt and Mr Norton are equally good) 2. The Joker (Heath Ledger playing Christopher Nolan's interpretation) 3. Madame de Merteuil (Dangerous Liaisons) 4. Tracy Lord (The Philadelphia Story ... Katherine Hepburn) 5. Billy Eliot 6. The Tramp (its hard to imagine that Chaplin would be too far down the list of favorites) 7. Ulysses Everet McGill (O Brother Where Art Thou) 8. Sgt Hartman (Full Metal Jacket) 9. Sophie (Sophie's Choice) 10. John Keating (Dead Poet's Society -- I don't like Mr. Williams but the character stands apart from him) 11. Mary Poppins 12. Shaft (the original, he's a bad muth...)
