Someone once told me, "...you're not a member of my communities so you would have no voice". This may be true, but I believe that a community founder would do well to listen to majority of suggestions. So Here in Movie Hype, I encourage participation. Movie Hype is Movie People! I guess I want to hear everyone tell us what do you want to see in the community in 2011?

A conversion to the star rating system! Seriously though, I've only been with the community for a few months now, but I think it's going in the right direction. There has been good communication, fair treatment, and a wide variety of opinions. What more could we ask for?
If you are a member of lunch, you should be able to voice an opinion and if not, you can join the community. See in the community in 2011? I can't think of anything in particular short of if we were able to send people the red carpet for interviews or maybe more movie trailers, being able to interview celebrities potentially. Hey, it could happen. I'm trying to have "vision".
I think the community is heading in the right direction and I don't think any changes are necessary "Movie Hype" works. To quote Chris_Pandolfi(who sums it up very nicely), "There has been good communication, fair treatment, and a wide variety of opinions. What more could we ask for? "
I'm in agreement with everyone who's said that you are doing an awesome job with the community. There is not much advice that I can offer other than to keep doing what you're doing. Your two film communities inspired me to start critiquing movies, and I'm sure they continue to have similar positive affects on lots of other members.
But not to leave you completely hanging, I do have a few ideas for newsletters and film focuses:
More emphasis on all types of reviews, not only positively rated ones but reviews that go against the popular consensus.
More emphasis on other types of films than just the new releases (similar to what Orlok said about classic films and other nontraditional genres).
Whether it's epic or a flop, I'd love to see more reviews of new releases! The collective reviews in Movie Hype help me decide whether a movie is worth catching or not and it definitely helps when there are more opinions :)
William you run one of the most successful communities on Lunch right now and you yourself make some of the most valuable contributions. Me giving you advice is like telling Steve Jobs what to do at Apple. The main message I have for you is to continue your excellent work!
