Frankenstein with Colin Clive, Dwight Frye and Boris Karloff hands down. Universal did a great job of changing the classic tale to suit a more modern audience and Jack Pierce's makeup was so convincing that women ran out of the theater screaming.

Ugetsu- up till today its premise is being ripped off by everyone.

The Black Cat, with Karloff and Lugosi. Excellent film, 1934!
