The Hustler. Hud. Cool Hand Luke. Slap Shot. The Verdict. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Newman brought the right combination of looks, talent, and presence to every role he played, and he chose some damn good roles. If you have a better candidate for best movie star who ever lived.... Well, I can't think of a way to finish that sentence, because you don't have a better candidate for best movie star who ever lived. It's Paul Newman or you don't know movies.
