A young boy is the son of a deceased cop. He lives with his grandmother in the projects in New York.
Drugs and everything else are found in the projects and one day a crazed man breaks into the boys home, if fear of his life, the boy kills him.
A drug pusher saw the body and told the boy that he, the pusher, wants the money that was owed to him by the addict. If he doesn't get it, officials will find out about the murder. Then this man begins kicking the boys dog, in fear for the dog, the boy pushes the man down some stairs and he dies.

Sixteen years later, the Twin Towers have been struck and police in New York are heroes. The boy is now a man and joins the department. He gets assigned to the precinct where he grew up and someone begins sending the news, notices about the two murders that were committed sixteen years ago and that no body seems to care. They accuse the police of covering up the crimes.

In a very dramatic movie with good acting, the story unfolds. I enjoyed the story but there was a good bit of mumbling, I suppose for effect, but it was difficult to hear.

Otherwise, it was an enjoyable movie. The musical accompaniment was also well done.
