Star Rating: Faithful readers will know that film adaptations of Nicholas Sparks novels aren’t exactly my cup of tea. I enjoy a good romance as much as the next person, but I’ve found his particular style to be predictable, soppy, and emotionally manipulative. Watched this one the plane. Old story with a slight new twist. The saving grace is the chemistry between the cast, I think. Nothing really new here, just good to know those who returned from a war have not gone nuts and another movie about those insanity. Yes, this is a movie, not real story. I watched it on a plane so can't complain about it. If I paid to watch it, it's another story ;-)
