It can't be stopped. It doesn't feel fear, pain, or anything of the sort. It's a robot with a single-minded mission, and someone has to find a way to stop it. It's a grand, intriguing concept for a series, but his single-mindedness is what really makes it such a compelling character. As for the unstoppability, well, that's one of those "yes, with a but..." answers.
