The “Undisputed” action film franchise follows a very simple premise: convicted felons who compete in a fist fight competition within the walls of the prison.
This 3rd installment is a direct sequel to the second film as it focuses on Yuri Boyka (played by Scott Adkins who was Michael Jai White’s playmate in the first sequel). Recovering from his injuries inflicted to him by White’s character, Yuri takes part in an international prison fight tournament to prove his worth once again.
The action choreography and the set pieces follow the style, tone and mood set by the first sequel with some heavy overtones of friendship and national differences. Adkins was able to how his martial arts savvy and this made the film worthwhile. [3 ½ Out of 5 Stars]
