Pros: A great bat

Cons: the movie baby, the movie

The Bottom Line: No angel in this night

Angel of the Night is an alluring blood frenzy. Filmed in Denmark, with English dubbing, some scenes are perhaps a bit more revealing than we are used to in America. There is a good deal of blood letting in this movie, in fact the scenes are quite gory in nature, with a few sex scenes. Breast count of 4 in the movie, no pube shots. Actually, during the sex scenes, the participants remain mostly clothed, something that I find cumbersome. Oh well.

In a nutshell
Our main characters, Rebecca, Charlotte and Mads, are visiting a remote castle/estate that Rebecca has inherited from an uncle. Turns out the uncle, Rikard, was a vampire and because he was unable to drink the blood of his firstborn, has passed on to vampire kingdom. ( That comes up later, in the meantime you are wondering how the Hell a vampire died since he had no stake through his heart. )

Reminds me of the Three Stooges
The three dunces start investigating and Rebecca cuts herself – duh – the blood drips into Rikard's coffin – sigh – you get the drift. She stays in the bowels of the estate to continue the investigation while the lively pair, her boy friend Mads and her best friend Charlotte, go upstairs to call a taxi so they can go clubbing.

Gratitious sex scene included
Charlotte gets a set of the hornies and attacks Mads. He doesn't fight her off naturally.

Another sex scene involved Rikard and ‘the chosen one', which showed a bit more skin.

Meanwhile …… down in the crypt ……
Rikard mesmerizes Rebecca and manages to return from the dead. Hey, don't ask me how, he's a friggin vampire. With Rikard comes his legion of slaves and the evil curse is swirling around the estate once again.

Just rewards, or gettin what the wench deserves
Charlotte gets bitten. Deserves it, the tramp, after seducing her best friends lover.

And what seems an eternity later, the taxi shows up for his cargo. Wonder what he'll be picking up?

Nutz & Boltz of the thing
Suspense? Sorry, not this time around baby. Despite the blood and gore, a pretty blasé movie that offered me practically nothing. You could see the ending coming from the beginning of the movie and frankly didn't give one hoot in a holler about the three main characters.

Rikard's metamorphosis was fairly intriguing. Great fangs and some good shape changing. The bat was a good representation although I didn't realize they were so friggin hairy – hmmmmmm.

Acting was totally wooden and the dubbing, well I could have done better in my basement but I seldom go down there anymore.

Directed by Peter Fernandez and Shaky Gonzalez. Written by Shaky Gonzalez. What kind of name is Shaky Gonzalez?
