I'm certainly not going to waste anyone's time delving through the possible strengths to the acting, script, or photography ... mostly because there isn't any or, in the very least, there isn't anything that hasn't already been said, harped, or ruminated over BLOODRAYNE or, more appropriately, 'BLOODSPRAY.' Kristanna Loken -- not exactly fresh from her role as the 'Terminatrix' in TERMINATOR 3 -- does a wayward thespian's best to chew scenery here, but it all unravels faster than you can say, well, "Kristanna Loken." Yes, the fanboy highpoint of the film has to be her clinging to the bars of her cage sex scene not because it's quite possibly every red-blooded male's fantasy but because it's the only point where ANY of the actors displayed any real passion. Look -- but don't blink -- for Michelle Rodriguez (from Season 2 of ABC TV's stellar series 'Lost') in her big screen appearance, and marvel at how the likes of SIR (?!?!) Ben Kingsley may've been duped into played Kagen, a dark and sinister vampire ... but, besides that, there's plenty and plenty of blood spraying from hacked stomachs, chests, and arms. Not for the light-hearted but, maybe, for the light-headed.
