You're Right, This Is for Your Eyes Only Not the Kids.

Pros: Very thrilling, exciting and suspenseful with all the new gadgets.

Cons: Too much sexual innuendos for the younger crowd.

The Bottom Line: This one is just a little above average when it comes to the Bond films. But as the years go by, they get better and better.

Plot Details: This opinion reveals minor details about the movie''s plot.

In the height of his career Roger Moore was given the opportunity to play James Bond again, for the fifth time he has tried to fill his shoes. In 1981, the James Bond series continued with the making of “For Your Eyes Only”. James Bond (played by Roger Moore) is sent on a mission to recover a communication device that went down with the British spy ship the St. Georges in the Aegean Sea. He is paired up with a Bond girl named Melina Havelock (played by Carole Bouqet) whose parents were both murdered by Kristatos (played by Julian Glover), both Bond and Melina need to hurry, because the Russians are also looking for this ATAC device (Automatic Targeting Attack Communicator). Melina is hell-bent on getting revenge for her murdered parents, unlike Bond who is just looking for the device. If found by the enemy, this device is an encryption device which sends messages telling the British fleet what to do, it would enable the Russians to find out what the British are doing. The competition between the British and the Soviets starts to heat up. There is nonstop fighting action under water, amongst the fighting between the Russians and British there is a breath taking view of the coral reef. This is where you will see some thrilling underwater battles were James Bond has to take on a man in a deep sea diving suit. He will also encounter a lot of automobile chases.

James Bond must dive down to the ship and retrieve this they ATAC machine and destroy it before it gets into the enemy's hands. He has instructions to destroy it at any costs, but every time he turns around, he is having to fight somebody for it. There are scenes on the slopes were James Bond is skiing downhill and being chased by the Russians. These scenes involve daring stunts on the skis to racing down a bobsled track, and also a killer on my mountain bike. Roger Moore looks as if he is starting to show his age as he comes into his own playing the James Bond role. I don't know where they find all of these beautiful Bond girls but they do know how to find the ones that can act this one is particularly is beautiful all the way to the face and to the rest of her body. She doesn't excellent job in learning how to dig down deep and pull out the character with her skills.

Sheena Easton does an excellent job, singing the title song “For Your Eyes Only”. The only problem is that they show silhouettes of naked women dancing. This movie is excellent for adults but not for children to see because of the sexual innuendo that is happening in this movie. There is plenty of action in this movie such as the helicopter scene, and the sinking of the St. Georges, there is also an assassination attempt in the hockey arena. Plus, the scaling of the mountaintop fortress, and as usual, James Bond is going to have his car blown up again. In addition to all that needed more. There are plenty of mini subs and a wristwatch communicator that you can be thrilled by. The scenery is beautiful, while James Bond travels from scaling to the top of a mountain to a monastery, to the Italian ski slopes, Madrid, Greece, and the Aegean Sea.

I think the best thing about this whole movie was the song, I loved Sheena Easton when she sings the song “For Your Eyes Only” it really puts you in a mellow mood. John Glenn directed this movie, and he put plenty of action and adventure, and even kept the suspense in the scenes. Even though Roger Moore is getting older he can still pull it off just like Sean Connery did. This movie will last around two hours, and I think that you will enjoy it immensely. They still have the re-occurrence from movie to movie of the main actors. Roger Moore is sophisticated, and his suave acting ability makes everybody wish they had a little James Bond inside of them.
