Since his impressive debut, Following, Christopher Nolan has proven himself time and time again to be one of the boldest, most original voices in Hollywood. Whether he's applying his impressive storytelling prowess and clear direction to a beloved franchise or working from an original idea, Nolan consistently delivers films that seamlessly work on multiple levels. It's no easy feat.       In my experience, I tend to look at a film's quality based on two different …

Modern movies, when they want to be appear more clever than they actually are, rely on the famous twist ending. The problem is, most of them can be seen miles away. Even before I'd seen the movie and was only roughly aware that is was one of those enter a dream/mind movies, I was expecting an ambiguous ending that could swing either way (woke up or not). What I wasn't expecting was just how entertaining the movie is. For some people the movie will probably end up as one of those mind-blowing …

The idea of the real reality has always fascinated me. What makes reality real and in who's perception is it real? Leonardo DiCaprio plays Cobb in the movie and he goes into people's dreams to steal thier secretes but in their dreams he has to worry about his memories that are trying to brake free from his mind. This movie is just another great example of how twisted reality and dreams can be. You go into the movie thinking that jumping into someone's dream and …

Hmm. The wife and I watched this the other night, and we were honestly disappointed, though both of us have always found Nolan's films to be overrated. This one was basically an extended episode of an idea from THE TWILIGHT ZONE, and we thought it just descended into gibberish.

What a strange, fascinating, intelligent film this was. Deep, surreal, interesting and compelling, where perhaps its one fault was that it wasn't surreal enough. It's yet another extraordinary film from Christopher Nolan, who apparently can do no wrong, and it's well worth seeing at least a couple times.    Inception tells the tale of a man (Leonardo DiCaprio), and his gang (headed up by Joseph Gordon-Leavitt and Lukas Haas, bringing together three former child stars), in what …

One of the most lauded films of the summer of 2010, INCEPTION is a big, bold, fascinating, gorgeous film that puts the brains of the audience to work. Unfortunately, it doesn't really stir the heart very much. But you'll be hard-pressed to find a more technically assured movie. Or a movie with such an attractively diverse cast. It's a film that isn't afraid to be rich, even dense, with plot. It has creativity coming out of its pores. It is pretty engrossing throughout (though I'd say it is about …

More please...
This movie was ok except for the ending. In my opinion it was rushed for the amount of time they spent building up the story in the beginnining. The end was almost as if they wanted to mess with your head and you have to decide if its over or not. That personally annoyed me a bit when I left the theaters. As always however emotions are best lived in the moment, so if you want to see a ok movie for twenty plus bucks and enjoy annoying endings; run to the theater now and buy a …

This movie may change the way you look at dreams again.
Inception is a movie directed by the talented and genius director Christophor Nolan. The film deals with this concept called "Inception" the ability to go into another persons dreams and steal ideas (or even learn something about them).Leonardo DiCaprio plays Dom Cobb an Extractor who is very good at what he does (besideds the fact that he breaks his own rules) after failing a job he finds another but this one is tricky as he is supposed to plant an idea in someones mind instead of steal …

This was a really good film and worthy of the praise it got but I feel like it fell just short of classic status. Maybe because the characters were not as developed as much as the plot was or something but it felt kinda incomplete. I don't know maybe I am crazy, you tell me. However feel about the film I am sure everyone can agree that it is at the very least worth a rental right.

Pros: Narrative control, story, acting.      Cons: Special effects were good, but don't live up to the billing.      The Bottom Line: If you are intelligent enough to read opinions about the film, then you are intelligent enough to understand it no matter what friends say.      Before I get to the review itself I want to go into two quick anecdotes. The first is that the inane scrolling “ticker” at the gym—I learned …

It's known that, while dreams are thought to be reflections of the subconscious, they follow no logical pattern and cannot be explained in definite terms. What fascinates me endlessly about Christopher Nolan's "Inception" is that, while he continuously challenges the audience by toying with perceptions of reality, he sets up dreams and dream states under amazingly intricate rules - every action has a name and a function, every image has a label. What the dreamer envisions can be freely manipulated, …

After the wild success of The Dark Knight, Christopher Nolan reached the ranks of movie making freedom that so few directors reach. So what did Christopher Nolan do with his golden key? Made a movie he'd been wanting to make for ten years. Inception. A movie where your mind is the scene of the crime. It's big, it's complex, it's beautiful... and it's absolutely amazing.

Still arguing over the ending, still intrigued by the premise, still delighted by the graphics... and yeah, okay, the timing was a little off in some of the events, but that's math.

Possibly the best movie I've ever seen! Joseph Gordon-Levitt was hands down the breakout (I don't know if I could even say breakout) star of this movie!

I thought it was a good movie. Not as good as #Memento or the first #Matrix. But an entertaining movie that almost was too long. It does make  you think a bit about what it means. You'll have to concentrate to get all the little symbolisms like what the totems might mean. I thought the stunts sequences were too long-- like they had too much of a budget to work with. This was a decent mind fuck movie      Warning: Plot spoiler ahead.      …

A great sci fi suspense thriller that I plan on seeing again in the theater. It's a very thought provoking movie that I'd put into the same bucket as the Matrix and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

I wanted to be entertained, and I was entertained. I was also impressed by some of the graphics. I thought it got a little slow toward the end, but it generally had everything I could want from a summer blockbuster. Also, will Leonardo DiCaprio ever age? It's kind of creepy how he doesn't change.

What an amazing movie. One of the best I have ever seen! I heard it took him 8 years to develop it, and you can tell a lot of love went into this! MASTERPIECE!

I LOVED this movie and will buy it when it comes out. It is very difficult to make this type of movie logical so that the audience will understand all of the layers going on and they did a beautiful job. The soundtrack was also moving! I just cannot express how much I loved this movie. I recommend it to anyone!
