Star Rating: Mr. Popper’s Penguins exists in a gray area between wholesome family entertainment and mindless pandering to children, and I honestly don’t know which half is doing more harm. It’s lightweight, uncomplicated, and generally innocent, so perhaps it’s perfectly suited for the age group it’s intended for. Mr. Popper's Penguins -- A film adaptation to children's book of same title by Richard Atwater. This is one of my favorite books from growing up and I can't wait to see what Jim Carrey does to add to the loveable Mr. Popper.
