When I was younger, I used to think that all of the National Lampoon's movies were to die for and to top it all I thought that they were actually very funny. But, time has a way of changing your mind when it comes to what is funny. The older that you get the less funny things are, and the things that you seem to think that they were funny when you were younger now they are just stupid. This goes to show how mature that age makes you. The National Lampoon's edition of movies used to be very funny to me and all of my friends and when we first saw the previews of this movie Dorm Daze 2 we thought that it was going to stay at the theaters for quite some time. But, since the start of when this hit the theaters we started to hear bad reviews on this show. So we decided to wait until we could see it on DVD and when we purchased it, we got the surprise of our lives. What seem to be real funny in our early days was not nearly as funny now.

Once we watched this we were appalled at what we had seen. This movie was rated "R" but they should have rated this as an soft porno type movie and you should definitely not let your kids watch this. This movie has nudity and sexual innuendoes all throughout the whole movie. We thought that this was supposed to be a comedy, but after watching the first ten minutes I found this to be too hard core for my teenage daughter to watch so I made her leave the room so that I could see how bad this movie really was. The language throughout the whole movie was appalling, and you can deal with a little bit of nudity in a movie since you do see some type of this on regular television.

This movie should have been rated closer to a porn flick rather that just "R". The directors David Hillenbrand and Scott Hillenbrand and the writers Worm Miller and Patrick Casey were not thinking when that got the idea in their head to make a movie as raunchy as this one. Somehow they get away from keeping the plot interesting. The plot was supposed to be about a bunch of teenagers on a cruise which turns into a high seas robbery of a priceless diamond. The only plus about this movie was the fact that they try to reunite the previous cast of the first Dorm Daze movie but they failed to make things mesh together with all of their acting abilities. You would think that the actors that starred in the first movie would have been used to each other, but it turned out to be a calamity of errors and miscues and getting away from the original plot.

I usually have not seen a movie where the writers will put themselves into the script unless they were unusually good. But, none of these actors in this movie are of that quality. This is not the type of movie that I would like my teenagers to watch, especially since we do not condone  this type of behavior in our kids. They keep trying to make this funny, but all of the bad language and the fact they were using drugs and this movie is pushing the line when it comes to sexual content, this makes it for a very bad movie for anyone should have to sit through. The plot of this movie does not depict what it supposed to be about. This is more of a soft porn movie with lots of scenes of nudity throughout the whole 1:40 minutes of time that it takes to watch this.

This movie was just as bad as the movie "Snow Days" or "Step Brothers", all of these movie in my opinion, need a lot to be desired. It does not take a lot to make a bad movie but it does take a lot to make a half way decent movie, and that it where this movie lacks. This lacks in every department that I can think of, from the imagination and the ability to keep the movie goers interested and laughing in their seats.

I see now that I save myself some money when I did not go to the show and watch this big waste of money, but on the other hand I did waste a few dollars when I purchased this DVD. Even though this was only 9.99, that was still a waste of good money. Unless you like a movie that does not keep the plot in your mind and keeps it interesting and stimulating, I would highly recommend staying away from this DVD. This should not even be on the shelf to be sold where kids could possible purchase it and take it home. I would hate to see my kids accidentally purchasing this and getting it home only to have a bunch a naked guys on my television. This movie would have to jump up to a negative -1 on the scale of (one being so so and five being good) to even pique the interest of the regular DVD watchers at home. So don't do what I did and spend good money and then only to find you have been ripped off by the movie conglomerates of Hollywood.
