Will the Wizard of Gore be a bore?

After an attempt to make a "real" movie, H.G. Lewis returns to making films his own way (revolving around gory set pieces).  He really pours it on in this one. All the red paint and animal entrails you can stomach. The movie revolves around a magician who performs those same old tired parlor tricks (i.e. sawing a woman in half, sticking swords into a basket, etc.) but with some interesting conclusions. As with all of Mr, Lewis' films, the budget's poor, the acting is bad and the padded out feel is back. A return to form for old HG in other words.  Followed by a sequel starring Crispin Glover.
