Pros: If you have seen the rest of his movies you will enjoy this one.

Cons: Not enough speed or new gadgets.

The Bottom Line: Even though this was a little slow, I would still highly recommend that if you are a Bond fan, view this movie.

Plot Details: This opinion reveals minor details about the movie''s plot.

Since I have been collecting all of James Bond's movies, I had to definitely get the last of Roger Moore's films. Roger Moore played as many films as Sean Connery, they both played James Bond seven times, in 1985 this was the last one of seven that you would see Roger Moore star in. This movie also did not do very well at the box office, it may quite a bit less than the other movies. This movie begins in a downhill ski chase with James Bond being chased by Soviet agents and flying helicopters and snowmobiles and explosions all the way down the hill. After returning from the USSR, James Bond must retrieve a computer chip off of a dead British agent, that is capable of causing a nuclear disaster. When he gets back he is trying to investigate Zorin Industries, he thinks that Zorin is going to plan a dastardly deed that will wipe out Silicon Valley. Zorin tries to rig horse racing, and give steroids to babies, and also tries to flood the Silicon Valley.

James Bond heads back to MI6 headquarters to discuss how the Soviets are involved in doing this. The main villain in this movie is Max Zorin (played by Christopher Walken), Christopher Walken doesn't excellent job as the main villain in this movie, he carries out his acting abilities to the tee. James Bond also learns that Zorin Industries owns horses and races them. This is when he tries to infiltrate Zorin Industries and tried to find out what they are up to, by posing as a wealthy buyer.

Since this is his last movie as James Bond, Roger Moore seems to be slowing down a little bit. He meets up with Bond girl Staci Sutton (played by Tonya Roberts), this is a little hard to believe since she is not the same age but quite a bit younger than Roger Moore. The two of them play lovers. Even though she is very beautiful, it does not look as if she fits the part with Roger Moore. She does not add enough to the movie.

I am used to there being more to the movie, and it just seems that it is lacking a little, when they come to the end of their era before they get a new bond, things kind of slowdown. They still use the same people for Miss Money Penny, Q., M. I believe that there needs to be more new gadgets every time a Bond movie comes out. After watching all of the other movies, you just kind of get used to seeing new gadgets and cars and explosions.

Even though this movie lacks in the thriller part, there are still very serious action scenes and explosions in this movie. The other movies I still enjoyed the overall output of another James Bond. I always enjoy the acting of will replace James Bond in this case, it was Roger Moore, you can tell that he was getting older by the minute. Christopher Walken plays an excellent villain. Hopefully we will see him another James Bond movies. The other evil henchmen and other hench-women do an above average display of acting. The girls played by Tonya Roberts, and Fiona Fullerton, and Mary Stavin as beautiful as they are, are also just a little above average.

This movie has action, adventure, and is a thriller. I still think that they need to put an R rating on this kind of movie, with all of this kind of violence that we see in this movie I really don't think anybody under the age of 13 should be allowed to see this. This movie also goes for two hours and 11 minutes and goes to different localities such as Silicon Valley in San Francisco and Siberia and Paris. I would highly recommend that if you have seen all of the other James Bond movies, that good or bad, you need to add this one to your collection.
