Original Sin

Antonio Banderas is my most favorite actor (joint first with Matt Damon). Banderas is charming, persuasive, exciting & sexy. Yes, as far as I'm concerned, he oozes sex appeal more than any other actors I've come across. I may be biased though as I often think Spanish are arresting & Latin songs are romantic.

He has starred in some high profile movies like The Mambo Kings, Assasins, Evita (as Che alongside Madonna), Interview with the Vampire, Philadelphia, Desperado, Frida (both alongside Salma Hayek), The Mask of Zorro, The Legend of Zorro (both alongside Catherine Zeta Jones) & the Spy Kids Trilogy. As far as I can recollect, his co-stars are some of the sexiest in Hollywood! Lucky him! I love seeing him with Catherine Zeta-Jones (wife of Michael Douglas). Banderas is however married to Melanie Griffith (in May 1996).

I enjoyed his apperances with Catherine Zeta Jones most and am looking forward to his latest movie Thick as Thieves. I hated My Mom's New Boyfriend (who wouldn't? ;-)) but love Original Sin (with the super sexy Angelina Jolie as co-star, why not?). Banderas is essentially a thief of hearts, the way I've come to view him. Don't agree? How about the fact he captured millions of hearts with his performance of Nine the Musical, not to be confused with the upcoming Nine starring Nicole Kidman?

Antonio Banderas also sings in musicals, bet you didn't know that! He appeared to great acclaim in the Broadway revival of the musical Nine (last seen in 2003). He is the winner for both the Drama Desk and Theater World Awards (outstanding actor) & best actor in a musical in the Tony Award. Nine is the musical based on the book by Arthur Kopit & arranged musically by Mauri Yeston (who incidentally also composes for Titanic).

Ok, this is it, my review of Antonio Banderas. Next… MATT DAMON!

I was totally turned off because of Madonna drooling all over Banderas, and then I actually got a load of him in ZORRO and that was all it took--instant fan!  Being a horror movie fan, my favorite film of his is THE 13th WARRIOR, but that first ZORRO with Zeta-Jones is a close second. Wow, what chemistry!

Yes, I love seeing both of them together. It's also akin to Tom Hanks & Meg Ryan. I guess it's the x-factor! I'll have to check out The 13th Warrior, thanks!

Its based rather loosely on Beowulf and comes from a story originally called "Eaters of the Dead" by Michael Crichton.

I loved Banderas in Robert Rodriguez' Mexico Trilogy (though, he only starred in the last two films). He was great as El Mariachi. And a lot of people forget what a great vampire he was in Interview with the Vampire.
