I liked the first Home Alone movie (note that I said like, NOT love), didn't like Home Alone 2, fucking hated Home Alone 3, and detest Home Alone 4 even more than the third one.

While the third movie at least had the decency to keep the characters from the first two movies out of it (though it's still a HORRIBLE movie), this one actually brings them back, but are played by totally different actors.  Needless to say, this is among the worst examples of dime-a-dozen shit family comedy with bottom-of-the-barrel gags, contrived storylines, and all around artistic laziness that'll make anyone with half a brain scream bloody murder over how horrible it is.

I heard that ABC planned on making a TV series based off of this abomination of film, but the extremely negative (and totally justified) criticism against this movie killed that.

I had no idea there was a fifth one. I thought all the negative momentum from HA4 would have kept a HA5 from being made.
