Cuba Gooding Jr.stars as Joshua, a homegrown hitman bred by a small time crime boss Vincent (Miguel Ferrer). When Vincent kills drug dealer Frankie Tahoe (Noel Gugliemi) without realizing that he works for A rival and much bigger crime lord Nino (Harvey Keitel), he realizes he killed the wrong man. A war breaks out and even though Nino has more guns Josh has more skill but is Vincent has still gotten himself in to deep.

Of course Cuba Gooding Jr. is no doubt a talented actor and a pretty underrated one as well but he does what a lot of great actors do and that's picking horrible films just because they present themselves to him. Although Gooding Jr. started off a bit to stiff along with the actors around him over-acting in the beginning of the film, it brought itself together quickly. Not such a surprising or even original crime drama at that but I watched it hoping that Jr. would show off his skills and that he did. The fight choreography was pretty simple but gritty and good. I liked that they kept it simple but good enough to catch your eye and enjoyable to keep your interest.

The story itself developed as well as it could for the type of plot it had. The simplicity of the story will kind of remind you of kill bill in the sense that someone got screwed over and now its all out revenge but not as bloody nor as deep. I will say this much, Wrong Turn At Tahoe has a unexpected twist that made it a bit more interesting. Also I really enjoyed the ending and especially Gooding Jr.'s final fight scenes at the end. He executed his fight choreography very well and was a great star of the show. Great movie but I give it 4 stars for the lack of originality but it still brings a few things to the table and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
