The only thing I give this hack props for is that he doesn't care what anyone thinks, and he makes the kind of movies he wants. It wouldn't be so bad if he actually knew how to carry a plot. His Transformers franchise comes to mind... I can't remember any other movies cluttered with so much ridiculous bullshit.

"The Island" had an interesting concept as a plot device, but of course it wasn't written by Micheal Bay. this dude has made some serious trainwrecks.

Yes he has, I find it bizarre how many run out for his flicks. It says a lot about them and nothing really good either. To this day, I seen only one of this flicks at the movies, and it was Transformers: Dark of the Moon, and I don't see myself doing that again.

I can't say it either. The original Transformers is the only one to get a three out of me as the highest, and I still don't know how it got that.

He gets a plus because he certainly knows how to play up the action.

As a money maker and marketer you almost have to love Michael Bay. He's profitable and knows how to make a movie which makes money. He's primarily an action director. Usually this gives people an excuse to say, "Well, he's allowed to make bad movies, he's an action director."
