Chopper Chicks in Zombietown - sexy dykes on motorbykes

  • Nov 24, 2000
Pros: Chopper chicks are HOT, HOT, HOT

Cons: Not enough Chopper chicks movies

There just aren't enough ‘hot babes in leather' movies out there to get your blood aboiling and the testosterone level rising. Thank God for Troma Films and their insistence on a hot dyke movie when we are swimming in the morass of feel goods like Field of Dreams - not that it was a bad movie, in fact I loved it, but........Kevin Costner in that tight baseball uniform is one thing but Lordy, Lordy - Catherine Carlin in her leather chaps, skin tight jeans and breast revealing tee shirt undulating to the sounds from the jukebox - slide some ice my way baby!

She is also responsible for the movies best lines when a fellow ~slut calls her a twisted sister (this may just get me thrown off this site)....."You bet your ass momma! I'm a big bad bulldyke and my tongue has been places you don't even know you have and it's great. And I don't deal with it, I don't cope with it, I'm f***ing proud of it. What the f**k are you proud of?"...... I bow to you Ms. Catherine - bravo!

The movie itself is nothing short of preposterous nonsense but is never, never boring. Packed full of campy humor and actually some good acting, it also moves you in the direction of the utterly ridiculous as a bus load of blind students breaks down right next to the den of the town zombies, an abandoned mine shaft. Thank God for the chopper chicks who flick their whips, strut their leather, simper with their feminine wiles and perform other sexual acts I'll leave to your imagination. This particular scene is also probably one of the goriest in the movie, but there is always those lovely ladies buns to distract you.

‘Why' the zombies exist is to work the mines extracting deadly uranium which would kill off regular live humans, the ‘how' they exist is at the hands of the evil town mortician Ralph William (Don Calfa) and his miniature partner Bob (Ed Gale), who is killing off the townsfolk and turning them into flesh chomping zombies. You may not be aware of this but zombies are the only man-monster that are cannibalistic by nature. The others like Vampires (prefer blood) or the Wolfman or Frankenstein (thrill kill) generally do not eat their prey. Not that there is anything wrong with eating your prey, just trying to keep you informed on your monsterlore.

In my humble opinion probably the best performance (other than Catherine air-humping the jukebox) was by Ed Gale. While Don Calfa attempted to offer the comedic challenge in the movie, it was Ed Gale that came through with some heavy emotions and probably the most intense comic timing in the entire cast.

True, this is not a movie that will rank up there with War and Peace or even Waterworld but it delivers all the thrills and excitement that your hands can hold and whets your appetite, arousing your taste buds and makes you desire even more.

There is a lot that brings to mind Rocky Horror Picture Show or even Night of the Living Dead, but instead of Tim Curry in spike heels and a black camisole we have a bunch of gals (The Cycle Sluts, by the way) in filthy butt hugging leather. Weigh the choices - Tim Curry, Kevin Costner or Catherine Carlin - I'm all over Catherine in an O-HI-O minute!

Written & Directed by Don Hoskins (good job Don), Producer Maria Snyder, Arthur Sarkission and James Hardy, Cinematographer Tom Fraser and some eerily eclectic music by Daniel May. In fact, I can hear that darn music with its' overplay of laughter as I type

Stars Jamie Rose, Catherine Carlin, Kristina Loggia, Martha Quinn, Don Calfa, Ed Gale and a bunch of really hot biker babes ...... also Billy Bob Thornton as the sometimes husband of Jamie Rose and some pretty hot scenes between them as well. A cult classic!
