Ever Wish You Could Bring Back A Lost Loved One

  • Jun 16, 2000
Pros: spending the night with your girlfriend

Cons: none

Ever just didn't know what movie to go see. Well, this might be the one. It didn't get very high ratings from the critics. But, after seeing this movie I see the you can't always trust the critics. You are better off and going to see for yourself.

My friend and I were pondering the idea all week of which movie to go see. Well, we were thinking about seeing Big Mamas' House, or something in that line. But we finally decided on Frequency. We had no idea who starred in it until we went to the show.

This movie would be good to go see with your girlfriend. Who might think that you only like action flicks. This will shed a different light a your situation. She might even see you in a different way. It will definitely open her eyes to what kind of different movies that you like.

This movie starts out in OCT 10 1969. This sort of throws you a little bit, because you might be thinking you were going to see a movie closer to this year. You wouldn't think that a older movie in this day and age of super technology would be this good. Well, it is.

The starring actor Dennis Quaid is superb in his acting. The way that the father and son were able to make contact was baffling to the mind. The director kept us engrossed in the whole movie. We barely had time to hold hands. There was no super light show in this movie. But what you did get is some good wholesome acting, for the love of the father by the son.

The son was in despair with losing his girl, and his was falling apart. Then there was this phenomenon called a Aurora Borealis or something like that. For those of you who don't know what that is. It is streamers or arches of light in the sky at night that are held to be of electrical origin and appear to best advantage in the arctic regions. It was a light show that is supposed to happen every thirty years. So in 1999 his son started messing with his dad's old two way radio. The all takes between 1969 and 1999. They keep you guessing during the whole movie. They are going after a killer that has killed up to ten times.

But first he has to make his dad believe who he really is. And he also has to stop his dad from getting killed in a warehouse fire. Once he succeeds in this he can move on to the next event. Each time he succeeds the future changes. It's weird trying to keep up with all the events.

My friend and I kept looking at each other and discussing it through the whole movie trying to figure out who did the killing. I don't want to tell you to much because it will give all the suspense away. But all I can say is that if there is anyone out there that has lost a loved and wishes that he or she could change the outcome of a certain event and bring them back, this movie is for you.

I'm sure that all of us at on time or another has experienced some kind of set back and would like to change the out come. I'm sorry I really shouldn't tell you any more accept that movie is different and you will not be dissatisfied with the out come.

It only cost sixteen dollars to go, so all you guys out there get up and take your girls out for the night. Go for dinner first of course, that might be only twenty dollars. So for thirty to forty dollars you can do as I did and take your special girl or spouse out for a night to remember. This movie is one that you will never forget. Plus the night out she won't forget. I know that I won't and I hope that my girl won't. She is very special to me. Just remember to treasure that special someone they might be gone someday.

About this movie

An inspiring, hopeful psychological thriller, FREQUENCY features two standout performances by Quaid (D.O.A.) and Caviezel (THE THIN RED LINE). Caviezel is John Sullivan, a 36-year-old police officer who has never quite gotten over the early death of his father, Frank (Quaid), a firefighter who lost his life while on the job. When John discovers that he has begun to miraculously communicate with his father over short wave radio, circa 1969, he tries to warn him of the impending disaster, changing history in the process.
