Let's see this is my first review, so here goes.
Clint Eastwood -- high expectations, I think too high. The opening scenes were heart pounding. Man versus nature, no contest. Visually I found the moving appealing. But there was a calmness/flatness that settled in after the Tsunami scene like the roller coaster ride was over, and it was. I found myself getting exasperated with the plodding movement of the story. Started thinking of the errands I needed to run. The serendipitous bringing of the three main characters together from their respective geographic locations though plausible and well executed was pretty unsatisfying because at this point I thought now, now the hook, the moment that is going to make we walk out of theater glad I came. I did not happen for me. I went to see the movie because of the subject matter and here in my opinion was the letdown -- nothing new, nothing bold, just the same vague, hazy offerings, the usual stuff. In the end, for me it was just another boy meets girl story.
Would I go out of my way to see it again. No, I would not.
