As a comic nerd, i'm always skeptical of how a movie will represent the source material. When it came to Kick-Ass, the movie was arriving in theaters when only 6 issues had been in stores. What are you supposed to expect?! Luckily, it worked. Kick-Ass was just as much cheesy action flick as it was comic nostalgia-filled nerdery. The cast performed well (yes, even Nic Cage) and the director's vision of Millar's comic was definitely in the right mindframe. I'd recommend as a rental to anyone who didn't catch in in theaters.
