Pros: Jim Carrery, Farrely Brothers new movie

Cons: Disjointed, plot was bad

Being the new Farrely Brothers movie, plus it had Jim Carrey, how could this film lose? Well.... the plot sunk this turkey. My mother and i saw this film last weekend with high expectations but left feeling slightly cheated.

The main drag of was the muddled plot. The film starts out as Jim playing a cop who is a loser and gets dumped on by everyone. After years of abuse and ridicule, he develops another personality in which he talks like Clint Eastwood and takes no guff. That should have been enough for the film to grow on but it takes serious turns from there.

Somehow, he gets mixed up in a mafia murder scenario with informants in the police department with the SWAT team called in for good measure. Too much and too confusing.

The whole film was comprised a genuinely funny bits strung together. It was mainly a vehicle for Carrey to pull his rubber faces and make many pratfalls.

Overall, a dissapointment. Too bad, it could have been a contender!

Annoying Carey/Farrelly Brothers combo that is downright frightening to watch. Has a few funny moments but is otherwise a chore to watch. Carey's three black sons should have gotten a spinoff.

I think the Brothers would do well to cast Jim Carrey in more of their movies. I found Dumb and Dumberto be absolutely hilarious and, once again, he has made "Me, Myself and Irene" a truly enjoyable piece of comedy. Without his fabulous physical performance, this film would be reduced to a string of sight gags and toilet humor which we have all seen before in dozens of other movies. Narrated, in cheesy-fairy-tale style, by Rex Allen Jr., Me, Myself & Irene tells the story …

Me, Myself, and Irene is just a one trick pony movie. Yes, Jim Carey pulls off a few amusing scenes. After a while though it gets kind of redundant. How often can you stomache Carey jumping back and forth from an easy going loyal person to a vengeful creep. The plot is truly helter skelteras it seems as if at the last moment that decide to throw in the old double agent routine to make Carey look like the true good guy. Meanwhile, look at all the criminal acts that Carey participated in.The roles …

In the Farrelly Brothers' ME, MYSELF & IRENE, Jim Carrey plays Charlie Baileygates, a Rhode Island State Trooper who develops a split personality disorder after his wife leaves him for an African-American midget genius. Due to years of denial and repression while raising triplet sons left behind by his wife and her lover, Charlie finally gets fed up with people taking advantage of his meek nature and snaps, taking on a lewd, aggressive second personality named Hank. Soon afterwards, Charlie is assigned by the police department to protect a woman named Irene (Renie Zellweger), who's being followed by some shady characters who want her dead. As the pair attempt to outwit their pursuers, the kind-hearted Charlie begins to fall for Irene, while battling his sleazy alter ego, Hank.

Back in full comedy mode after his more dramatic roles in THE TRUMAN SHOW and MAN ON THE MOON, Carrey once again displays his outlandish brand of physical humor. As with any Farrelly Brothers film, there are plenty of g...
