There is no argument with me on what is the best film of the year. It is easily, without a doubt John Cameron Mitchell and David Lindsey Aubry's heartbreaking drama "Rabbit Hole" a tale about a young couple going through the stages of grief after the tragic loss of their four-year-old son Danny after he was inadvertently mowed down by a young teenager. "Rabbit Hole" is perhaps one of the most heartbreaking films ever made about loss and suffering that you experience after the death of someone you loved so dearly. This is a deeply moving and heart wrenching film that features two of 2010's best performances from Nicole Kidman (who was nominated for an Academy Award) and Aaron Eckhart (who was grossly overlooked for an Oscar). This film also benefits from strong powerful direction from John Cameron Mitchell and an equally powerful and overlooked script by Playwright/screenplay writer David Lindsey Aubry (for which he wrote the play and the screenplay). This is hands down the most powerfully emotional film of the year, a true old school drama in the best sense.
