Pros: Joshua Jackson; great scenery; good story

Cons: Wasn't exactly true to the sport of crew.
Wow. A lot of people that wrote an Epinion about this movie didn't like it. I guess I represent the minority, because my friend and I *really* liked this movie. Granted, it wasn't as suspenseful as, say, SEVEN nor as clever as, say, THE USUAL SUSPECTS, but it really was a good movie.
The movie dealt with the issue of Secret Societies on Ivy League Campuses. It also hit close to home with members of Fraternities and Sororities by touching on the issue of hazing, although it's not thrown in your face. It also subtly dealt with the issue of non-members dealing with friends that want to become members of a secret society or Greek organization.
And that's where all the trouble begins. Luke (Joshua Jackson) really wants to become a Skull so that his college tuition gets paid for, etc. His friend, Will, is adamantly against the Skulls and any other society, and makes Luke choose between him or the Skulls. I don't think I need to tell you Luke's decision.
There are a lot of twists and turns from there on, which I dare not give away. The thing that bothers me, however, is that Luke's whole life is changed just because his friend didn't want him to join the Skulls. It really teaches a lesson about why people should mind their own business and not influence their friends in important decisions.
The scenery is wonderful. The cast is just, as my friend Marisa put it, a lust fest.The acting is really good as well. The script was alright, too. No complaints over here. I think you should see it, to tell you the truth.

When a college senior joins a secret fraternity in order to better his chances of getting into Harvard Law School, he doesn't realize that he has entered into a potentially life-threatening situation.
