I was a teenager during most of the eighties. Here are my favorite tunes from that decade.

This is a great love song and my favorite from Naked Eyes.

This song was one of Bill Wither's last hits. His vocals are so smooth and relaxing. Grover Washington was a great musician.

This is my favorite Michael Jackson song and the best one off the Thriller album, Eddie Van Halen is so good playing the guitar on this track.

Pat Benatar had an excellent career in the eighties. This song still pumps me when I need a lift.

This song still makes me happy. It motivates me to think positive every day.

This is one U2's biggest songs. Bono's vocals are so moving.

This is a great dance song from 1981. This was the last great hit from this excellent band.

This is a beautiful song by the late Dan Fogelberg. This tune makes me appreciate all the things my father has done for me.

This is my favorite song by this band. They had a hand full of hits in eighties. This is their best.

This song is a celebration of youth and one of John's earlier hits.

Elton does not play this song in his concerts. This is still one of my favorite songs by him. This is a wonderful tribute to the late John Lennon.

Stevie Nicks has such a great voice. Her vocals on this song are so good.

A very fun list! I too was a teenager in the, ahem, early 80s. :-) It is interesting to know what made the songs memorable to you. My own list would be very different songs, but for a lot the same reasons. I love how certain songs are so linked to different eras of our lives and bring back strong memories of those days.
