The Lithe Diva Releases a Bombshell of CD, or Two

Pros: Smart lyrics, excellent production, Christinas voice. This album is good for only when you're in the mood.

After listening to this on and off I realizes that this album has it's moments but it won't be on heavy rotation on my personal player. This album has been promoted as a throw-back-retro of the blues, jazz, and soul cultivated during the past five decades unfortunately it really doesn't measures up to the task. Hard to believe she was once a Genie in a Bottle

I'll admit my biases up front: I think Christina Aguilera is just immensely, immensely talented. That she was ever miscast as a peer or contemporary of the likes of Britney Spears is one of the great mysteries of pop music reviewing I'll never grasp. Second bias - I think Stripped is one of the most honest, most musically diverse and most amazing sophomore efforts (not counting concept albums like Mi Reflejo) in recent pop music history. I love this CD

I love this CD from Christina Aguilera. The first single is entitled Aint No Other Man. This song gets my body moving. I love the horns playing on this song. Makes Me Wanna Pray is another one of my favorite tracks. This song is very uplifting. I love the choir singing in the background. background. Steve Winwood helps out on the organ here, and it sounds very good. Understand and The Right Man are two beautiful song about how a special person can change your attitude about life. So far, Christina Aguilera is setting herself up to be the new generation's Madonna in terms of taking chances with her musical directions and re-inventing herself with each album.
