After listening to this on and off I realizes that this album has it's moments but it won't be on heavy rotation on my personal player. This album has been promoted as a throw-back-retro of the blues, jazz, and soul cultivated during the past five decades unfortunately it really doesn't measures up to the task. I'll admit my biases up front: I think Christina Aguilera is just immensely, immensely talented. That she was ever miscast as a peer or contemporary of the likes of Britney Spears is one of the great mysteries of pop music reviewing I'll never grasp. So far, Christina Aguilera is setting herself up to be the new generation's Madonna in terms of taking chances with her musical directions and re-inventing herself with each album.
